St. Joseph’s School Calendar 2024–2025: Family, Faith, Learning Introduction

The St. Joseph’s School Calendar is not a form. It’s the pulse of every day for families, teachers, and kids. Every day, every week, every month they all build up in how community gets lived.

It reminds us each beginning of a new school year when holidays surprise us and when special days leave people wondering why they are special. 2024-2025 will be a year of promise, a year of construction, a year of faith. This calendar planner guides us step by step through each season, each milestone, and each tale the calendar has to teach us.

The First Day: New Beginnings

The first day is a decent day. The children smile. New books. New uniforms. Snickers in the hallway.

The parents walk each kid to the door. The teachers welcome each kid at the door with a smile. Some of them are introvert types. Some of them are tough nuts. But they are all prepared to learn.

First week of school at St. Joseph’s so nice and friendly. Teachers love it here. Children greeted by friends again. Crazy but peaceful moments. Home sweet home again on Friday.

St. Joseph’s student progress is a collaborative effort.

  • Mid-Quarter Reports are on-time feedback.
  • End-of-Quarter Reports offer an overall perspective.
  • Parent–Teacher Conferences are held quarterly.

Teachers. No longer blaming parents, but as co-partners. Equals who, as members of their group, make autonomous decisions together as a group how to raise each child. The parents like the bluntness.

Parents and Families: The Heart of the Calendar

School and home life are blended together.

Parents participate in parties, functions, and celebrations at school. Parents accompany children on field trips and read to children.

We have an annual Family Picnic Day when the whole family sets out and eats lunch, plays games, and teases one another. Fun, for sure, St. Joseph’s family day too.

Parents are alerted by web sites and newsletters. Everyone knows, literally, because of the calendar.

Learning with Technology and Technology for Learning

Learning with Technology and Technology for Learning

There is learning technology as well as technology for learning.

The students learn using Chromebook application and online learning tools. The teachers use the applications app, video, and e-books. The classes are never boring and are always interactive.

Technology is also chatty. Reminders and homework pop up at parent doors. Screens never steal smiles away connection always comes first.

Some of the below are some of the ways St James’ Primary applies technology to life.

Teachers do practice workdays by St. Joseph’s throughout the year. It is not a teachers’ workday when in-service days and workshops are offered to teachers. Teachers are encouraged to teach and report so that they can post lesson plans.

Investment dividends brought to the school in the way of quality and innovation at all levels of classrooms.

Make-Up and Emergency Days

Rain on the parade is always followed by bad weather and tragedies.

School advance notice via cell, e-mail, and website. School make-up or missed days at end of term.

Safety first. Learning never really does come to a complete halt — only shifts when circumstances permit otherwise.

Wellness and Student Support

Wellbeing = grades.

Wellness Week (October): Kindness, mindfulness, and health activities.
Career Awareness Week (February): Guest employees and alumni.
Finals De-Stress Days (May): De-stressing exams.

Counselors present. Students feel it’s acceptable to seek help—sign of strength, not weakness.

Community and Service

Service before self at St. Joseph’s. Serving high demand among students.

Service Projects Include:

  • Food Drives
  • Clothing Donations
