Reach Cyber Charter School Calendar 2024–2025 is more than a calendar of dates. It is the beat of learning, freedom, and exploration.
Reach School is wherever you are — park, home, library, or wherever you might be to have a Wi-Fi connection. And even in this universe-less world, there is still space for order. The calendar puts everyone — every student, every parent, every teacher — in high gear.
From the first virtual class in August to the final projects in June, every day is an account of focus, autonomy, and progress.
The First Day of School: New Logins, New Dreams
Reach’s first day of school is not quite the same. No idle car line is waiting. No clanging bell halfway down the hall.
Students log on from bedrooms, living rooms, and study rooms within their homes. Teachers welcome them in front of webcams. Smiles flicker across screens.
Week one is an acclimatization week. Orientation provides an opportunity for students to find the platforms, greet their teachers, and organize their schedules.
Ease is created by the end of week one. Online school is a typical lifestyle.

- Thanksgiving Break (November): Gratitude and friendliness.
- Winter Break (December): Rest, celebration, and quiet.
- Spring Break (March): Sunshine and discovery.

Breaks are time for everyone to break and rest before the learning cycle is completed once more.

The year concludes with Virtual Graduation Ceremony where mortarboards soar before webcams and parents cheer from home. Ceremony, not school party.
Technology and Digital Tools

Most Valuable Tools:
- Secure online classroom web sites

Technology never replaces teachers — it extends their reach. Technology brings to life every single student and allows them to be everything they can be by opening doors to resources, tools, and learning materials galore.
Teacher Workdays and Professional Development
Reach teachers learn and develop, too.
Professional Development Days are spaced out throughout the year so teachers will have an opportunity to go over what new instructional materials, communication techniques online, and cyber lesson plans there are.
Independent practice time or make-up time on those days. Same idea — all of us learning together.
Make-Up and Emergency Days
Reach never closes for weather, but it doesn’t always work out so smoothly.
When computers crash for maintenance or some other unexpected reason, students are re-mapped and classes are re-scheduled automatically.
Assignments stay on line, so everyone is in the know. Reach flexibility = equal learning no matter.
Student Support and Wellness
Reach knows that emotional and mental wellness is the key to success.
Wellness Activities Are:
- Wellness Week (October): Being present and balanced.
- Kindness Challenge (November): Acts of kindness daily, challenging them.
- Motivation Month (Jan.): New Year’s resolutions, creating them.
- Stress-Relief Workshops (May): Incomplete and focused prior to testing.
Guidance counselors and wellness counselors work individually with students.
Community and Service Projects
Students are providing back to communities despite being online.
Service Ideas:
- Virtual fundraisers for neighborhood charities
- Letters to war veterans or neighborhood healthcare workers
- Community clean-up activities with neighborhood agencies
- Book and donation drives
Reach encourages everyone to take moments to make a positive impact on their students wherever they are.

End-of-Year Celebration: Success and Pride

Students share art, music, and projects through Reach Celebration Week. Teachers coordinate reflecting sessions, and student success is honored.
Virtual Graduation Ceremony marks the end of the year. Seniors type one last time to put in their best as smiling viewing families behold.
